This is where we find our happy, peaceful place. The Spirituality step is the begining of our quiet meditation time.
Regardless which (if any) spiritual stance we have, one thing is clear: we need to give thanks in some capacity. Without gratitude and humility, our chances of being content, happy or peaceful are slim.
If you are a religious person, this is where you plug in your own belief. If your spirituality is non-denominational, then simply use that belief to give yourself time to give thanks.
If you are anything like I once was, this part may give you trouble. Please don’t let it. Try to resist the temptation to dismiss the idea of gratitude in some form. If you have no beliefs of any kind, then just give yourself a minute of peace and calm, and during this time remind yourself that you are grateful for what you have. This in itself, will become your own spirituality.
I promise you – if you give this spirituality step an honest try, you will reap the benefits, as you practice this simple meditation technique.
You have just practiced The Paris Method – it really is that simple! Now, have a nice day 🙂
